Grants & Loans


​​Mechanical Insulation Grant Program​

​​Provides subsidies to eligible individuals, nonprofit organizations and business entities that install mechanical insulation in Maryland-based buildings and industrial processes. ​​
​Energy Efficiency Equity Grant Program​

Grants awarded for energy efficiency projects that generate significant reductions in energy use and pass on the benefits of the savings to Maryland’s ​low-to-moderate income residents.
​Maryland Smart Energy Communities Programs
​​Offers funding for sustainable, long-term, clean energy policies and projects that lead to reduced energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions, increased cost savings, and robust clean energy and economic development.
​​Streetlight and Outdoor Lighting Efficiency Grant Program
​Defrays the cost of replacing outdated, less efficient pole-mounted fixtures used for street lighting, parking lot illumination, parks, athletic fields and other outdoor lighting systems, along with implementing certain lighting controls. ​​​
Open Energy Grant Program​
​The Maryland Energy Administr​ation (MEA) is interested in receiving proposal​​s that fall outside the range of its other ENERGY programs. 
​​Commercial, Industrial & Agricultural Grant (CI&A)
​A program that provides grants for deep energy retrofit projects in commercial, industrial, agricultural, and non-profit facilities.
​Jane E. Lawton Conservation Loan
Apply for a loan to identify and install energy conservation improvements.

Rebates

​​EmPO​W​ER Maryland utility-sponsored programs
Passed in 2008 by the Maryland General Assembly, EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act, established a goal to reduce per capita electricity usage and peak demand 15% by 2015. Energy efficiency is one of the least expensive ways to meet the growing electricity demands of the state, EmPOWER helps to promote energy efficiency saving Marylanders money.​
