Grants & Loans​​


Whole Home and Community Scale Electrification Outreach Program​
​Offered to Maryland community-based organizations, and county and municipal governments who wish to educate residents on the health and cost saving benefits of electrification measures in residential single-family homes and multifamily buildings.​
​Maryland Smart Energy Communities Programs

Offers funding for sustainable, long-term, clean energy policies and projects that lead to reduced energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions, increased cost savings, and robust clean energy and economic development.
​Maryland SolarAPP+ Implementation Grant Program
This MEA funding opportunity will provide grants to Maryland counties, cities, towns, and other authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) to help pay the costs of implementing the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory SolarAPP+ streamlined solar permitting software. Maryland AHJs are required to adopt the SolarAPP+ software per the requirements of the 2024 Brighter Tomorrow Act (S.B. 783, Chapter 595, 2024 Acts of Maryland).
​​Decarbonizin​g Public Schools Program​
​Help Local Education Agencies (LEAs) develop capacity and advance strategies for promoting clean and efficient energy use within their portfolio of current and future K-12 schools and support facilities. ​
Open Energy Grant Program​
​​The Maryland Energy Administration is interested in receiving proposals that fall outside the range of its other ENERGY programs.
