Kitchens are the heart of homes and buildings and often present many opportunities for electrification. In homes this may include switching from a gas stove to an induction cooktop. In commercial kitchens, this may include a full transition to electric equipment such as induction ranges, electric broilers, and electric mixers. Importantly, switching to electric equipment does not mean compromising on meal quality. The Maryland Clean Buildings Hub (the Hub), an initiative of the Maryland Energy Administration, empowers Maryland’s building owners to make well-informed energy investments in their properties by connecting them to financial, educational, and technical assistance.
