BALTIMORE, MD — The Energy Information Administration (EIA) regularly posts updated utility prices by state on their website. Recently, they produced erroneous data for Maryland residential electricity rates for March 2026, which indicates an incorrect year-over-year increase from March of 2025. EIA is in the process of correcting this error to reflect the accurate cost per kWh.
Update 6/4/2026: As of June 3, 2026, EIA has updated its website with the corrected data for Maryland March 2026 residential electricity rates: https://www.eia.gov/electricity/monthly/epm_table_grapher.php?t=table_5_06_a
