FY24 Medium-Duty and Heavy-Duty Zero-Emission Vehicle Grant Program

Program Purpose: The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) is offering grants to purchase qualifying zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) and heavy equipment for commercial or industrial use. This program provides grants to Maryland fleet companies, organizations, and communities to help defray the costs of purchasing qualified, newly manufactured zero emission medium-duty or heavy-duty zero-emission fleet vehicles and qualified heavy equipment property. 

Eligibility:
  • Fleet companies, organizations, and communities in Maryland are encouraged to apply. 
  • See the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for full details of the Medium and Heavy-Duty Zero Emission Vehicle Grant Program below 
Funding: 
  • Up to $6.5 million available in Fiscal Year 2024. 
  • Grants cover up to 75% of the incremental cost of eligible vehicles and equipment. 
  • Separate funding pools for on-road vehicles and off-road equipment. ​
