Program Description: This program provides funding to Community Solar Subscriber Organizations to offset costs associated with Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), enabling clean energy to be offered to low-income households at lower cost.
Program Purpose: Providing greater cost savings for the Community Solar Permanent Program for Marylanders experiencing lower incomes.
Type of Program: Statewide, Competitive
Program Application Deadline: 3:00 P.M. ET, Tuesday, December 23, 2025 (AOI 1 and 2)
Anticipated Program Budget: Approximately $17 million from the Strategic Energy Investment Fund using Solar Alternative Compliance Payment funding. Initial funding shall be $5 million for AOI-1 and $12 million for AOI-2. At the agency's discretion, funding from other sources with varying restrictions may also be possible.
Please Note: The Application Worksheet FY26 is being updated. Cell b11 of the AOI-2 Incentive Calc tab is being updated to properly reflect the $6 million Landfill Incentive cap specified in the Funding Opportunity Announcement.
