Program Description: The Maryland Energy Administration (“MEA”) provides rebates through the Commercial Clean Energy Rebate Program (“C-CERP”) to eligible businesses, nonprofits, local governments, and State of Maryland government agencies and departments that install eligible clean energy systems on facilities located within the State. For C-CERP, eligible clean energy systems can be purchased by the applicant, or installed through third-party ownership.
Program Purpose: The C-CERP provides Clean Energy Rebates for the following qualified clean energy systems:
- Solar Photovoltaic (“PV”) Systems
- Solar Thermal (Water Heating) Systems
- Geothermal Heat Pumps
Type of Program: Non-competitive (first-come, first-served)
Application Deadline: Applications will be accepted throughout the fiscal year (July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022), however payment cannot be assured after funds run out.

*Incentives for ground-mounted arrays are capped at systems 250kW or lower in size, with a maximum award of $20,000.
**The incentive for 250.1kW-DC – 375kW-DC is only available for roof-mounted systems solar installations.
