FY25 R-CERP CLOSED - NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS AS OF DECEMBER 1, 2024
**PUBLIC NOTICE**

The Residential Clean Energy Rebate Program is no longer available. All outstanding applications must have been received by or postmarked to the Maryland Energy Administraiton (MEA) no later than November 30, 2024. The Residential Clean Energy Rebate Program will not be offered again. Parties interested in incentives for residential solar PV systems are encouraged to review the upcoming FY25 Maryland Solar Access Program that will launch in January 2025. Information about geothermal heating and cooling system incentives will be posted at a later date.

SIGNATURE SHEETS​: ALL SIGNATURE SHEETS FOR OUTSTANDING APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED THROUGH THE E-APPLICATION PORTAL MUST BE RECEIVED BY MEA NO LATER THAN 5:00 P.M. ET, MONDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2024. ANY OUTSTANDING APPLICATION THAT MEA DOES NOT HAVE A SIGNATURE SHEET FOR BY THIS DEADLINE WILL BE REJECTED AS INCOMPLETE. APPLICANTS REJECTED FOR THIS REASON WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REAPPLY.

Notice 1: All program communications are made via email, through CERP.MEA@Maryland.gov. DO NOT reach out to an individual MEA staff member's email address. Use CERP.MEA@Maryland.gov to ensure the fastest and easiest communication with the R-CERP Rebate Administration Team.

Notice 2: Each applicant to FY25 R-CERP MUST USE THE ONLINE ELECTRONIC APPLICATION PORTAL, unless they are not able to access it. A paper application form is available from MEA by request. Please contact CERP.MEA@Maryland.gov via email, or call 410.537.4000, to request a copy. More information about this requirement is provided in the sections below.

Notice 3: FY25 is the final offering​ of the Residential Clean Energy Rebate Program. See the Funding Opportunity Announcement in the "Program Documents" section of this page for more information.

Notice 4 (Geothermal Heating and Cooling)​: The rebate offering for residential geothermal heating and cooling (GHC) systems expires after November 30, 2024, when the R-CERP closes for applciations. MEA will post information about an upcoming GHC rebate program that we anticipate will become available in early 2025 as soon as possible.

Program Purpose: The Residential Clean Energy Rebate Program incentivizes Maryland residents to purchase and install eligible renewable energy generating systems.

Program Description: MEA offers rebates to eligible Maryland residents who have installed a qualified clean energy system at their homes. Eligible system types include: (1) solar photovoltaic (PV) panel systems, (2) solar PV shingles, and (3) geothermal heating and cooling systems. Please note that geothermal heating and cooling system replacements are no longer eligible​ for rebates. Only geothermal heating and cooling systems that require the installation of new ground loops or wells are eligible.

Type of Program: R-CERP is a statewide non-competitive first-come, first-served rebate program.

Application Deadline: Complete and accurate applications to R-CERP will be accepted no later than 3:00 P.M. ET, November 30, 2024. No exceptions. Please note, the issuance of a rebate by MEA is not assured if the Program budget has been exhausted.

Anticipated Program Budget: An anticipated total of $2,000,000 is available from the Strategic Energy Investment Fund to fund the Program.

Rebate Amounts: The rebate amounts listed by eligible technology type in the table below are taken from the FY25 R-CERP Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA).
