BALTIMORE – The Maryland Energy Administration is developing a new, automated online portal to improve how it processes applications for the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Rebate Program. This new system — planned to debut by early fall — will make it easier and faster for applicants to submit and track their requests in real time. It will also help the agency process applications more efficiently, reducing delays and improving communication with applicants. The new system also will feature improved functionality in tracking applications and uploading documents as needed. What’s Changing? Due to high demand, all available funds for the FY2025 Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Rebate Program (Residential and Commercial) have been fully awarded. As a result, the Maryland Energy Administration is no longer accepting new applications for FY2025 as of May 5th, 2025. The agency will contact applicants whose submissions were received after this date to provide additional details on next steps. Looking Ahead: Once the new portal is live, all applicants will be required to use it. Applications submitted outside of this system will no longer be accepted. The Maryland Energy Administration continues to process eligible applications submitted prior to May 5th, 2025, and appreciates applicants’ patience as it manages a high volume of inquiries. The agency will send confirmation emails upon receipt of applications and will reach out directly should more information be needed. Please remember: - Submitting an application does not guarantee funding.
- Rebate structure, incentive amounts, and program availability are subject to change.
- Eligible applications will be retained and processed if additional funds become available.
