Higher Education Clean Energy Grant Program
| Supports Maryland's accredited higher education institutions in adopting renewable energy technologies, integrating strategic energy planning into operations and curricula, and advancing workforce development in the renewable energy sector.

Residential & Commercial Energy Storage Grant Program
| Provides grants to Maryland residents and organizations to help install qualified energy storage systems on their properties.

Maryland Solar Access Program
|
Provided to help eligible Maryland residents install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to power their homes with clean, affordable, and sustainable energy.

Geothermal Rebate Program
| This incentive program provides rebates to Maryland homeowners, businesses, nonprofits, and Maryland state and local government agencies that install geothermal heating and cooling systems at their homes and properties.

Maryland SolarAPP+ Implementation GrantProgram
| Provides grants to Maryland Counties and Municipalitites, to help pay the costs associated with implementing the free-to-use U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory SolarAPP+ solar permitting software for their communities.

Community Solar LMI-PPA Program
| Maryland PSC-approved Subscriber Organizations can apply to receive incentives for supplying PPAs that maximize value to low-to-moderate income (LMI) subscribers.

Residential Clean Energy Rebate Program | Receive financial assistance to install solar photovoltaic, solar water heating, and geothermal heat pumps.
|
Commercial and Canopy Solar Program
| Maryland businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations can receive grants for solar energy systems that are owned by or directly benefit low-to-moderate income and overburdened Maryland communities. Enhanced incentives are available for nonprofit organizations, Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), and Veteran- and Disabled Veteran-owned businesses. New for FY26: Solar canopy installations are now included.

Decarbonizing Public Schools Program
| Help Local Education Agencies (LEAs) develop capacity and advance strategies for promoting clean and efficient energy use within their portfolio of current and future K-12 schools and support facilities.

Residential Energy Equity Grant Program
| Designed to support energy efficiency and renewable energy projects that benefit Maryland residents experiencing low-to-moderate income.
|
Solar Technical Assistance Program
| Provides technical assistance, at MEA’s cost, to state or local government entities for solar site surveys, and to conduct preliminary development of solar projects.
|
Open Energy Grant Program
| The Maryland Energy Administration is interested in receiving proposals that fall outside the range of its other ENERGY programs.
