Wind farms in the U.S. have helped avoid nearly 62 million pounds of pollutants, such as sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxide (NOx), tied to global climate change.
Hydrogen in the Classroom
- MEA has partnered with General Motors to educate students about the benefits of hydrogen technology in transportation. Representatives are available to make classroom visits and to bring GM’s HydroGen3 Fuel Cell vehicle to schools. Middle school and high school teachers are invited to email crice@energy.state.md.us for more information on this exciting learning opportunity.
