Incentives
- Qualified Zone Academy Bonds
Loans under this little known debt instrument for school finance allow
qualifying schools to borrow at little or NO INTEREST COST. In the
simplest terms, an established Zone Academy (school) with 35% or greater
of their student body on the free and/or reduced lunch program, will
qualify. If your school district fits this, or has a reasonable
expectation of having students that "could" qualify, then you probably
can issue interest free QZABs.
