Wind Tax Credit

Wind Generator - Photo by Warren Gretz - Source DOE/NREL PIXGiving strong support during the 2001 legislative session, we saw the passage of legislation encouraging renewable energy use with the Green Buildings Tax Credit bill that allows a state tax credit for wind generation in commercial green buildings. The bill went into effect on January 1, 2003. For further information on this tax allowance, see the Comptroller of Maryland web site.
