Maryland Save Energy Now supports the State's manufacturing sector by offering local access to one-on-one consultation, financial incentives, and tools and resources.
The MEA has formed a team whose goal is to help Maryland manufacturing facilities move forward with energy saving projects. The Maryland Save Energy Now team offers assistance to companies no matter where they are in their pursuit of energy savings. If a company is only starting to evaluate energy savings opportunities, the MEA team will help find an assessor to identify most promising areas of energy savings. If a company has already conducted an energy assessment but has not moved forward with project implementation, MEA team will work with the company to find ways to turn the potential energy savings into reality. The team also offers assistance to manufacturing plants that want to use highly efficient onsite power generation, known as combined heat and power (CHP).

At a September 10 workshop, Maryland companies and other interested stakeholders had an opportunity to learn about new financial incentives for CHP systems offered by the state’s electric utilities. View presentations from the workshop.

A panel of CHP experts and utility representatives explained the new incentives and their impact on project economics to 70 workshop participants.
